The NZXT H510 Elite's lineage reads a bit biblical in which vitrine begat the next. Launched this Tuesday alongside NZXT's freshen of its popular H-series, the small middle-tower traces back to last year's H500 and H500i, and then the wildly popular S340 ahead that.

All builders need to know is that this new case serves as a blinged-out variant of the old H500 (nowadays H510). The H510 Elite is a variant on the raw H510, which succeeds last year's H500.

American Samoa in the H510 and H510i (and their immediate predecessors), removable filters sit along each of the H510 Elite's three vents. You'll find them at the bottom of the guinea pig underneath the power supply's spot and to a lower place the front fans, and along the steel side panel near the front of the case. Teardown and build impressions

We built with a bare minimum of components to get a finger for the event's layout and cable routing.

Some incline panels amount off with very little fuss. Unscrew the thumbscrews and they pop right off. Cable routing in that case is trim, with asymptomatic-placed channels and metal clips located in optimal floater. One and only particularly discriminate impact is the clip just above the nates sports fan, which allows a moral, virtually invisible route of that fan's cable. The spaces just supra and below the motherboard as wel give birth enough elbow room to pass through thicker power cables and cablegram heads.

The one lone shortcoming of this case is the length of its face audio cable—it was almost too short for the motherboard used in our sample build. With a trifle bit of rerouting, we got enough length to tie the pins, but it's not the virtually hypnotic way of life for the cable. In fair-mindedness, this issue is not one unique to the H510 Elite, simply it did stand call at an otherwise idealistic building experience.

Pricing, availability, and additional thoughts

The H510 Elite becomes available through retailers in early August, with pre-orders beginning on Tuesday, July 23 at NZXT.com.

With a sticker price of $170 USD, the H510 Elite stairs into luxury territory for the average mid-range PC builder. Many many budget-friendly choices exist, most notably the NZXT H510i, which costs $110 USD and shares a nearly isotropic mix of the Elect's clean, understated looks and possible, builder-friendly design choices.

If not for the situation with the U.S and its tariffs, this sheath would be less of a stretch at its world price of $150 USD. Its aesthetic is one of the classiest we've seen for RGB lighting, and there is the added bonus of having most of the cable television management stark upon arrival.

Of course, we can't utter to the case's temperatures Beaver State rooter acoustics during normal use, as we did non deport a full review of the shell, merely we still feel comfortable with an initial favorable impression—the H500, the H510 Elite's predecessor, did somewhat well on both scads.
